How we check CPA requirements

These pages summarize each state's CPA rules in plain English. Every fact comes from the state board, the state's education examiner or the state's law, and links to that source. We check every fact by hand and show the date we last checked it. Where a board has not said something, we say so instead of guessing.

Software helps us notice when an official page may have changed. It never changes these pages on its own: a person reads the official source and approves every change before it is published. Some boards do not allow automated checking of their websites, so we check those by hand.

We do not decide whether you qualify, and we do not sell courses or take payment from boards or schools for these pages. Spotted an error or a newer rule? Email [email protected] and we will check it against the source and note the fix in the change log.
